Herbal Salves Made Simple: A Make & Take Workshop in Waco, TX

🗓 Saturday, June 28, 2025 | 🕙 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

🌿 Learn to make herbal salves in Waco, Texas

If you’ve ever wished you could make your own herbal remedies—or just want a creative, plant-filled way to spend a Saturday morning—this one’s for you.

Join Clinical Herbalist Michelle Spalding for a hands-on, heart-opening workshop that will have you blending, crafting, and connecting with the botanical world in the most delightfully practical way.

🌼 What We’ll Be Doing

In this make & take class, you’ll learn the basics of herbal salve making—from choosing skin-loving herbs to crafting your own nourishing salve from start to finish. No essential oils here—just whole plants and old-school wisdom.

We’ll be working with:

  • Calendula (Calendula officinalis) – known for its gentle touch on sensitive skin

  • Plantain (Plantago spp.) – historically used for bites, stings, and minor skin woes

  • Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) – with a long tradition of supporting skin repair and boundary magic

You’ll go home with a tin of your own crafted salve, a printed recipe, and enough inspiration to fill your apothecary (or at least your kitchen counter).

✨ Why You’ll Love It

  • No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity (and maybe a friend who loves nature as much as you do!)

  • All supplies included—you show up, we’ve got the rest

  • Workshop is held indoors—because we love herbs, not heatstroke

  • Open to anyone 18+ who enjoys crafting, learning, or just getting their hands into something good

Whether you're tending to pesky mosquito bites, dry hands, or minor skin abrasions, a good herbal salve is like a plant-powered sidekick.

The beauty of salves? They’re portable, easy to use—just toss one in your bag, or backpack, and you’re ready for whatever life (or summer in Texas) throws at your skin. Handy, helpful, and handcrafted by you.
